Director Baz Luhrmann suffered a mild head injury on the set of his latest film The Great Gatsby, which allowed the cast (including stars Carey Mulligan, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Tobey Maguire) and crew to go home a day earlier than planned for the Christmas holiday.
Baz Luhrmann reportedly cracked his head on a camera crane while maneuvering about the tightly packed set. Producer Anton Monsted told reporters the following.
All of the cast and crew will return next year to resume filming on this adaptation of the classic F. Scott Fitzgerald novel.
The Great Gatsby comes to theaters December 25th, 2012 and stars Carey Mulligan, Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Joel Edgerton, Isla Fisher, Jason Clarke, Callan McAuliffe, Gemma Ward. The film is directed by Baz Luhrmann.
