Green Lantern Confirms Michael Clarke Duncan as Kilowag

Michael Clarke Duncan to voice Kilowag

It has been confirmed! Michael Clarke Duncan will, as previously rumored, provide the voice of Kilowag in this summer's DC Comics adaptation Green Lantern.

Green Lantern is currently in post-production, and only recently confirmed Geoffrey Rush as the voice of Goldfish-headed Tomar-Re. No other voice cast has been announced, though a majority of the characters in Green Lantern are CGI creations. Michael Clarke Duncan received the offer to voice Kilowag today (Tuesday). Negotiations are still taking place.

Kilowag, who is seen snorting on Ryan Reynolds's Hal Jordan in the first teaser trailer, is an intergalactic drill sergeant who trains members of the Green Lantern Corps.

Warner Bros. remains hopeful that they can complete the movie's numerous effects shots in time for release.

Green Lantern comes to theaters June 17th, 2011 and stars Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard, Mark Strong, Temuera Morrison, Jenna Craig, Jon Tenney, Tim Robbins. The film is directed by Martin Campbell.
