Alyssa Milano is the latest actress to join the cast of the romantic comedy New Year's Eve for director Garry Marshall.
Alyssa Milano will play a nurse who cares for an elderly patient, but doesn't have anybody to spend the New Year's Eve holiday with. The story, set in New York City, follows the lives of several characters and their holiday plans, or lack thereof. The movie follows a structure similar to Garry Marshall's Valentine's Day, which was released last February.
Garry Marshall will direct from a script by his Valentine's Day writer Katherine Fugate. Shooting will start this week in New York City.
New Year's Eve comes to theaters December 9th, 2011 and stars Robert De Niro, Jake Gyllenhaal, Ashton Kutcher, Zac Efron, Lea Michele, Jessica Biel, Sofía Vergara, Abigail Breslin. The film is directed by Garry Marshall.
