Cassi Thomson has joined the cast of Vic Armstrong's upcoming action thriller Left Behind.
Based on the series of books written by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins, the story is centers on events that take place after the Rapture that removes people of the Christian faith from Earth. The actress replaces Ashley Tisdale, who was previously cast to play Chloe Steele, the daughter of Nicolas Cage's character Ray Steele. Chad Michael Murray is portraying journalist Cameron "Buck" Williams.
Cassi Thomson is best known for her roles in ABC Family's Switched at Birth and HBO's comedic drama Big Love. Vic Armstrong is directing from a script provided by Tim LaHaye, Jerry B. Jenkins, Paul Lalonde and John Patus. No production schedule has been released.
Left Behind comes to theaters in 2014 and stars Nicolas Cage, Chad Michael Murray, Ashley Tisdale. The film is directed by Vic Armstrong.
