For fans of The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones who didn't get to see the footage put on display at Comic-Con 2013 last month, Sony Pictures has now released that clip, along with another scene from director Harald Zwart's adaptation of the beloved Cassandra Clare novel. Lily Collins stars as Clary Fray, a young woman who learns that she comes from a long line of Shadowhunters, tasked with keeping the world safe from demons and other supernatural beasts. The first scene, which includes an introduction by Lily Collins and Jamie Campbell Bower, features Clary's mother (Lena Headey) coming under attack. The second shows Clary, Jace, and Simon Lewis (Robert Sheehan) seeking refuge in an old, mysterious building.
The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones comes to theaters August 21st, 2013 and stars Aidan Turner, Lena Headey, Lily Collins, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Robert Sheehan, Jamie Campbell Bower, Kevin Durand, Kevin Zegers. The film is directed by Harald Zwart.
